AFP Colline Astigiane is a VET centre accredited by Piedmont Region. It is a consortium established in 1998, that manages the Vocational Training Centre AFP combining the public and private local synergies within a territorial development project focused on the qualification and professionalisation of tourists’ reception. The training service is an essential instrument to promote the transition to active life and for updating individual competitive skills in the professional field.
The members are: Municipality Agliano Terme, Municipality Canelli, Municipality Nizza Monferrato, Bersano Vini, Banca Asti, CRA Group Cassa Risparmio Asti (credit institute/bank), F.lli Carli, Oneglia (food company with expertise in the olive oil sector), Comunità Collinare Val Tiglione (administrative union of municipalities in Asti).
The VET Agency AFP represents the continuity of the former Vocational Training Centre for restaurant and hotel services managed by the Municipality of Agliano Terme since 1972. This organisation is well known to the local population as “the Hotel and Catering School”. AFP is co-funded by the European Union, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour, Piedmont Region. The Agency proposes the aim to combine the personal project with the opportunities in the social – economic framework, making the students as active players and determined protagonists of their own life choices, through the continuous promotion of the person as an individual, as a citizen and as a worker.
AFP was awarded in 2015 with the Erasmus+ VET mobility charter, ranking 1st in Italy.
From 2020 AFP is accredited for Erasmus+ VET mobility.

STELLA VIRIUM was established in 2013 to support and promote the idea of continuous development of every adult. The concept of the Foundation was created as a result of constant observation of changes and transformations taking place in the micro- and macro-environment and is a specific response to changes taking place in the socio-economic area of our country. The Foundation’s activities are focused on the implementation of projects in the field of supporting the idea of Life-Long Learning, improving professional competence, and supporting adaptation and integration in the work environment of people at risk of professional exclusion to the current requirements of the labor market and new jobs.
We help them retrain, and acquire competencies adapted to the requirements of the labor market, but also overcome fears and rebuild self-confidence, and assertiveness and regain professional motivation. Very often, participants come to us after difficult experiences such as job loss, professional burnout, career break due to childcare, or inability to cope with the uncertainty of the surrounding reality and the resulting career instability, and require support in defining a new professional goal, possible career paths and identifying their own resources (strengths) that will enable them to achieve their goal.
FO-Aarhus (Association for Adult Education) is a non-government, non-profit organization established in 1973 to provide non-formal adult learning courses to the citizens of Aarhus. It has its own elected Board of Governors composed of representatives from the private sector, public administration, and the formal and vocational education sector.
FO-Aarhus’ basic expertise lies in non-formal education for adults and young people, for the general public, and specialization in programs that help disadvantaged groups – e.g. immigrants, the unemployed, people with learning disabilities, dyslectics, people with mental issues – to enhance their quality of life and to integrate (or re-integrate) into society and the workforce. The aim is to strengthen the participants’ personal, social, and vocational competencies as a stepping-stone to re-education, re-inclusion into the job market, or further education.
